Polymer Clay Leaves
I purchased a mini leaf paper punch at a thrift shop and used it to cut out leaves on some golden-brown Fimo. I textured the clay with crumpled foil and then I just used pastels to add some colors. These can be used for a variety of projects in mini but they'd be great for earrings as well.

I never tried punching clay with paper punches. This looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

The best way to do this for me is to fill a baby sock with talc, then pat that onto the thinly rolled clay on both sides, and then punch. I use this technique to make many things including Christmas cookies and even plates and bowls. Give it a try--I bet you'll love the results.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'm so glad I found your blog today! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteI love your leaves, very nice coloring. If you bake a thin sheet of clay for just a few minutes you can punch shapes without sticking.
